Coronavirus – School Travel Update

Due to the ongoing situation with the outbreak of the respiratory infection Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) we request that all our travellers read and follow this guidance on preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses such as Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

This avice is particularly relevant for our school groups travelling from China and other infected countries.

Advice for Travellers:

  • Wash your hands regularly and use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands especially after using door handles or cash
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, dispose of the tissue properly and wash your hands
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using anti-bacterial wipes
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell
  • Stay at home when you are unwell
  • If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing seek medical care early and share previous travel history with your health care provider

These are everyday habits that can help prevent the spread of several viruses.

The use of face masks is not currently included in the international guidance however travellers are welcome to bring and wear face masks.

Before you go

  • Pack your anti-bacterial hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes in your hand luggage
  • If you have concerns relating to an existing medical condition, please check with your medical professional that it is safe for you to travel

Travel by air

  • Spend as little time as possible in crowded areas
  • Where possible, use anti-bacterial wipes to clean surfaces e.g. your tray table, lap belt and arm rests

While you’re away

  • We may make adjustments to your itinerary to limit time spent in highly populated places such as large cities and tourist attractions.
