Our mission at Arctic Education is to make teachers lives easy by creating amazing trips which students will remember forever.
The Arctic Education Team is a smaller branch of the overall Travelbee & Arctic Direct team. At Arctic Education, Charlotte is responsible for the smooth running of all our Educational tours. We will arrange your tour from start to finish and can also join your group as a country representative. We find this really sets us apart from our competitors, particularly on our more challenging tours or when weather conditions locally change quickly. This is really valued by our schools and takes an element of stress off the teachers’ shoulders.
Charlotte started Travelbee back in 2004. She wanted to travel to the Arctic having lived in the South of Sweden but the trips that were available just weren’t for her. Charlotte really wanted a unique experience but the packages other companies were offering were a bit bland – nobody really likes beige! Charlotte wanted to offer packages where you can create memories that last a lifetime. Personally she has been named in the Cotswold’s 40 under 40 and South West region’s 42 under 42 in business as well as the shortlist for The Telegraph’s SME leader of the year and Female business of the year.
We know how hard teachers work and the last thing you need is to be spending hours of time that you don’t have going backwards and forwards trying to create the perfect school trip. Once you’ve told us your school priorities, desired location and budget we’ll do the rest and you can relax knowing that we’re here to take the strain.
Whilst there are more competitors than when we started, our holiday customers (www.arcticdirect.co.uk) and our schools all prefer a company that will go the extra mile for them and that is why they choose us. We pride ourselves on our customer service. With us, you won’t be passed around from one sales person to another, because we’re a small team – we’re really able to deliver a bespoke experience – tailoring your package to your requirements.
Charlotte has personally tried and tested most of the tours we sell, as have the team – so you can book with confidence from a knowledgeable and experienced team. Notable achievements include leading Arctic Direct to be named Wiltshire Business of the Year , Enterprising Wiltshire Small Business of the Year and the Federation of Small Businesses Micro-Business of the South West .

Whilst our specialism is the Arctic, we are often asked by our schools who have loved our trips to arrange trips for their students elsewhere in the world. This is possible and something we are happy to look at and quote on a case by case basis.
